One Attorney, One Office, Four Decades in Orangeburg

Started in 1982, Still Answering the Phone Himself
Ronald A. Phillips opened his practice on Dutch Hill Road in 1982, at a time when Orangeburg was still a small stop along the Rockland County map. Divorce law looked different then, and so did the courts. Over four decades, he’s watched both change while keeping the same approach: know the client’s situation fully before recommending a path forward.
The firm has stayed small on purpose. Cases move through one office, under one attorney’s direct supervision, instead of being passed between associates and paralegals who never meet the client face to face.
Today, the practice focuses on divorce, family law, child custody, and prenuptial agreements for clients throughout Orangeburg, Pearl River, Tappan, Nyack, and the rest of Rockland County.
The Approach Behind the Practice
Meet Your Attorney

Ronald A. Phillips
Ronald A. Phillips has practiced family law in Rockland County since 1982. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Rockland County Bar Association, and has represented clients before local Family Court and Supreme Court matrimonial parts throughout his career. His practice is limited to divorce, family law, child custody, and prenuptial agreements, allowing him to focus fully on this area of law rather than spreading across unrelated practice areas.
Four Decades, By the Numbers
Why Clients Keep Coming Back — and Referring Family
Many clients find this office through a friend, coworker, or family member who went through a divorce or custody case here years earlier. That kind of referral only happens when people feel like they were heard and treated fairly, win or lose on any single point.
Being based in Orangeburg for over 40 years also means a working familiarity with the local Family Court and Rockland County Supreme Court, the clerks, and the general pace of how cases move through this county specifically.
